Our esteemed membership secretary Andrew Birch has been exiled from Twitter after complaints from Tory Chair Greg Hands. Hands had posted a photo opportunity of himself eating a fish and chip supper. Andrew had replied that he ”hoped his supper didn’t go down well (or words to that effect, ahem!) “…and indeed the comment didn’t go down well with Greg Hands.

Compared with most of the bile and trolling that is on Twitter this was a fairly mild rebuke but Andrew has been suspended for life! You only have to look at the comments under many female MPs posts to see what I mean and particularly at all the previously barred people with extreme views now allowed back on Twitter since free speech advocate Elon Musk bought the company.
