Animated film triumphs at Golden Globes
January 12, 2009 in Comment
The animated film Waltz With Bashir was one of the winners at the Golden Globes, significantly triumphing not in an animation category but as Best Foreign Language Film.
The film, tipped by the Bloghorn as one to watch back in May, sees Israeli writer and director Ari Folman using animation to depict his memories of fighting in the Israeli Army during the 1982 invasion of Beirut.
It beat such acclaimed live action films as The Baader Meinhof Complex and Gomorrah. Less surprisingly, Pixar’s Wall-E was Best Animated Film. Here’s a ful list of results.
