The cartoon auction site for The 2009 Big Draw is here and it is a chance to buy some great, original and funny drawn artwork as well as help a good cause.
Last November we blogged about Bloghorn’s team for last year’s Transports of Delight competition and who produced a huge cartoon banner for the annual contest which was held at St Pancras rail station in London.
Well, now you can own a piece of cartooning history as all four banners made then (from The Guardian, The Independent, Private Eye and Bloghorn) are being auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Campaign for Drawing, a charity whose purpose is to promote drawing as a tool to support learning, and cultural and social engagement for all ages and abilities.
Bloghorn’s cartoonists made this striking design.(Pete Dredge, Robert Duncan, Kipper Williams and Bloghorn writer Royston Robertson). They represented the Professional Cartoonists’ Organisation
We will be reporting on how this years’s Bloghorn team gets on after the event which takes place on saturday 12th September. Full details here.
The winning banner from 2008 was from The Independent (Dave Brown, Tim Sanders, PCOer Chris Burke and Bloghorn Editor Matt Buck)
The Guardian (PCOers Steve Bell, Martin Rowson, PCO Chair leg Andy Davey and Tim Pond)
Private Eye (Andrew Birch, Richard Jolley, Simon Pearsall and PCOer Ken Pyne
