Cartoons as figures of speech

October 4, 2012 in Events, General, News

Cartoonist and member John Jensen has long characterised the connection between words and pictures in his work for Writing Magazine. His new collection – Figures of Speech – will now be launched at the UK Cartoon Museum next week. John kindly agreed to share some of the work from the book below.

  1. Lovely stuff – very original and wonderfully funny images that stay in the mind. I’m only sorry I won’t be able to get up to London for the do next week. I wish him all the very best with it (and thanks for the invitation that went around).

  2. Brilliant. Lovely line.

  3. Yes Huw. He’s always had it and agree it’s lovely stuff.
