Dotti Colvin

Dotspot

Dotti is an award-winning digital animator, turned cartoonist whose work has been seen in the UK and worldwide. Dotti has a unique and confident style that never fails to raise a smile.

“I love drawing naughty things”

In the last two years of illustrating she completed no less than seven books, three of which were from the cheeky Nita’s world adventure series for young adults in collaboration with NZ Author Suzanne Andrews. They have recently been published in Hong Kong with reviews like this-:

“Suzanne Andrews’ witty, irrepressible verse, perfectly matched by Dotti Colvin’s zany illustrations, will make you giggle out loud …they might even inspire you to plan your own escape! Utterly original and absolutely irresistible!”
SARAH BRENNAN – author of the best-selling Chinese Calendar Tales, Storm Whale and Dummies for Mummies

In the 20 years of being in animation and illustration, she has made a lot of clients happy including the BBC, Nickelodeon, Duracell, Turner Entertainment, Cartoonito, Energizer, Kelloggs, and more than 40 smaller brands who have trusted her to illuminate their voice.
She has given many talks and workshops in animation festivals and universities from the UK to UWI in Trinidad and has mentored MA students at the fancy Royal College of Art in London.

In 2013 she moved to Italy, and never came back. ( something about the Prosecco there being so much better.) She currently works remotely from Italy as an illustrator, cartoonist, and animator and is available for business or personal commissions
