Dotti Colvin

Dotspot

Dotti is an award-winning animator and cartoonist specializing in character work ( sillier the better) and currently working in childrens publishing as an illustrator. She has a unique and confident style that never fails to raise a smile.
She is passionate about inspiring kids to read by making a books so funny they want to read them again and again. Her love of animation, silent cinema, slapstick, mime, and puppetry is evident in her work which is energy-filled and character driven.
She is looking to work with funny writers, bloggers and anyone who want to inspire little humans to read!

In 2013 she moved to Italy, and never came back. ( something about the Prosecco there being so much better.) She currently works remotely from Italy as an illustrator and cartoonist and is available for commissions for books, panel comics and silly portraits.

Happy clients include the BBC, Nickelodeon, Duracell, Turner Entertainment, Cartoonito, Energizer, Kelloggs, and more than 40 smaller brands who have trusted her to illuminate their voice. She has given many talks and workshops in animation festivals and universities from the UK to UWI in Trinidad and has mentored MA students at the fancy Royal College of Art in London.
