I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil. I’ve been amusing people with funny drawings since childhood. Although I never studied art at school, I created funny pictures at every opportunity for school newspapers and was frequently rapped over the knuckles for my subversive and biting cartoons at work.
I worked in the advertising and design industry from 1983 until 2000 when I decided to return to my passion as a freelance cartoonist and illustrator.
I have an enduring love of Japanese animation art and style, particularly the work of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki.
I currently practice workaholism from home working in both computer and hand drawn art. I’m a dangerously amateur philosopher, an undisciplined reader, a really useless athlete and an aspirant drummer. And I talk too much… 😀
