  1. The Guardian piece shows how powerful cartoons spring from powerful national changes. I don’t think Steve Bell ever had to face an Underpantsgate. Maybe Zapiro’s story also shows what a comfortable bubble WE live in. In so volatile a country, its a wonder that not every cartoonist isn’t a political one.
